At times one wonders whether our men in uniform ever use their brain!!

A woman succumbed to injuries incurred when a policeman reportedly threw his gun at a boda boda rider in an attempt to force him to stop.

The other day a policeman handcuffed a lorry driver to the steering wheel in Meru and ordered him to driver to the police station. While driving through a crowded street, the driver lost control as he could not maneuver the vehicle with his hand handcuffed and ended up knocking a woman dead…Surely??

The police commander in Mpeketoni used to be Officer Commanding Crime at Central Police Nairobi when met him, wasn't the brightest light bulb at the station, so I expect no miracles.

I've recently wondered how many of the police officers deployed to manage traffic can actually drive.....in the case of the driver who was handcuffed and asked to drive, is it because the cop could not drive?

Some people in Wazua think that security will be improved by additional legislation (those security laws and other gimmicks) without thinking about the people we have in police stations. Comprehensive police and security services reforms are urgently needed but the political class (whom we all support rabidly) does not care. Nkt
