Is it true that SafCom has declared war on the data front?

Safaricom is currently the most expensive network on voice and data. Now in this tweaking, they scrap one of the most popular bundles which was 1.5GB for 1,000/= ...

To obtain the same 1.5GB:
- you now have to purchase twice for 1,150
- or you have to upgrade to 5GB for 2,000

Denial is a poor business strategy. They should have good results for the next year or so, but in time...

Wonder why they changed night shift time. It used to be 10pm to 10am, now it's been revised to 10pm to 6am.

Hadn't noticed the change in time. That is WRONG!

1k will now get you 2 GB plus an additional 2GB bonus for off peak browsing. Its actually an upgrade, you get more. Sambaza though has been capped to a max of 10 MB. Death of data vendors.

I stand corrected @shobiz, misled by that Techbandia Sad I've read the Safaricom site update http://www.safaricom.co.ke/pers...rnet/internet-data-plans

The only issue becomes bundle validity, previously 90 days. What is that now, 30 days?

Sambaza has been capped to 20MB max, no roll over of unused bundles, night shift time reduced. Anyway, i'm on Zuku fibre where there are no such strict terms. Bundles just for the occasion when i am away.

Quote:
What happens if the validity period of my data bundle expires?
Any data bundle not consumed within its validity period will be deleted and won’t be available for use

Quote:
Can I extend the validity of my data bundle by purchasing additional bundles?
It’s not possible to extend expiry of internet bundles by purchasing newer bundles (There will be no roll over)

Quote:
Can I sambaza/transfer the bundles purchased?
It will be possible to sambaza internet but only to a maximum of 10MB per transaction and limited to two transactions (20MB) in a day. (All other rules for Internet sambaza will remain in place)
