Indeed. I never thot this thread would run this long...

Btw I'm still uncomfy at this elevated indices heights with all these profit warnings and thin volume! Weak bull legs... The saving grace is weak oil prices. A sharp rebound on oil prices will make things very messy with all these earnings warnings.

Also got beef with NSE on the same. Warnings are issued for a current FY and 3 months in advance. The current warnings have violated the 90 day prior rule and some after FY has closed! What a shame NSE Shame on you. Global markets don't run this way.

@hisah - You nailed it. Low volumes. If a 'big' seller comes in (for specific shares) desperate to sell at any price, the prices could crash!

When NSE website doesn't update the closing prices for the day and it's share price among the top losers

Pathetic. An alternative is definitely coming. The alternate should target foreign investors. That's where the cream is.

@chief hisah am greatfull of your vast knowledge sharing. However am concerned with the believe that foreigners are the cream and that we need soo much of their money. These ppl much as they inject investment funds, they also take up the gains back to their nations proportionaly. Take an example of tourism where foreign was embraced and in wake of advisories later domestic one has shown improvement and revenue generating. I mean, kenyans have a considerable cash to invest only that. harnessing it. For instance there are veeery fee kenyans with knowledge on shares ,penetration is majorly in nairobians...if the second SE is based in Nakuru region n beyond and funds mobilised you can be surprised. Just like saccos and there Deposit taking Microfinances have sprout up. Enough said...we need the foreigners but within avg and enlighten locals for more local participation.

And the silence is deafening. you can hear admin drop a pin, with the silence here. Interestingly for me, despite NSE 20 being down almost 3%, I'm still in the green year to date. coz my laggards haven't moved down much.
