Kabando Bill Passed
So, who's going to MPESA 5k for T-bill and wait 12 weeks to earn 90bob (at today's rates)?
I bet Kabando, with his 1m salo has never bought a T-Bill in his life!

I bet Kabando, with his 1m salo has never bought a T-Bill in his life! @Wanjiku better buy 18 crates of eggs from at Kes.11 per egg, that will be 432 eggs. Sell each egg at @kes. 13 and make a cool profit of 864 within a week maximum! (But she can also sell the eggs within two days akiangukia, but she will never angukia a T-Bill rate of say 30% in the foreseeable future)Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

I bet Kabando, with his 1m salo has never bought a T-Bill in his life! Even for the bigger players, dealing with CBK is just cumbersome so this bill is a step in the right direction.

But if one can push 18 crates of eggs within a week, without any additional expense - then that's a rich individual in the making.

No rental required for @wanjiku, she will keep the eggs under her bed at night. Transport to and from Njiru hatcheries is Kes. 80 max, put insurance risk at max 3 eggs breaking...still better than T-Bills hiyo ya @Kabando. Every market had a start point...we will get there, this is a step in the right direction I have always been for this idea...I like. Financial deepening...In all this we have been let down by the CMA,one of their strategic objectives is... To promote investor education, awareness and interest in the capital markets; They get a zero on this... possunt quia posse videntur

Unless they finally come and lock UK in the Hagwe then we may see those crazy figures of T-Bills...even during the PEV it only went up to around 13% and happily dived in and out a year later when they were on a downward trend. Bachuma Gate wrote:Postive side...banks MAY start paying better rates for deposits. But the rate will never go above T-Bill rate! Thats a fact! Anyway it would be better than 1.25% pa Stanchart is paying me! Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

After all, there are other places where she can put her money and earn higher rates and still have open access to it - not this 12-week wait for T-Bills
