Why do ideas need to be defended?

Kwani who/what is threatening them?



Ideas need to be defended when new ideas are perceived and change is necessitated. The biggest threat is how the mind works or structures itself through socialization.


Then how different are you from a religious fundamentalist who insists that the words of his god must be defended against the new/different, by force if necessary?
