Hi,

Just going through Sasini Annual Report that was just sent through the post. I see they have revalued their land after 5 years at an additional Kshs 5.74bn.

In the effect is to push the NAV upto nearly 55/-. Will this have any impact on the share trading price?

Thanks

Merali will eat it on your behalf. See Sameer/Firestone. He took over the land using a JV he owns/controls 75% of. The same will happen here.

1) That's 2mn/acre. In Kiambu.
2) Who will buy that land? An insider? This is Merali you are dealing with.

@maka you are my friend. Please run, run in any direction, but keep running. The consolidated statement shows the Earning Per Share was only Kshs. 0.10 but its paying a dividend of Kshs. 0.25

History repeating itself. Another screwing of minorities by Meralli. Wait and you will hear of a golf estate coming soon! Developed by Sasini but of course owned by Meralli.

Wahenya and Mweiga farms are in Nyeri not Kiambu and I doubt the Ksh2m per acre that has been used to value the land. The Mweiga farm is in a semi-arid area and shouldn't be more than Ksh1m per acre.

Dry but not so dry, firm under coffee and beef herds. Which doesn't matter because if converted to a resort, an acre will go for at least 10 million.

My accounting is rusty, but that is not how valuation is done.

Global commodities price action is quite bearish. This trend is still in play. Agri stocks will perform below par maybe into 2016. I expect the market to trim lower agri stock prices to price in that reality. Speculators will find it hard to get gains in this sector.
