I asked kdn and they said they will need surveyors to have a look then give an option incase your particular hood doesnt have the fiber thingy. I hope they wont take forever.. I am paying an arm and a leg in comparison from access.

I know where I work we pay about 16,000 to AccessKenya for dedicated 512kbps down.

I've been following KDN travails but at these prices I don't care We need a connection now now now. I've started a strike in the office and management must yield.

What for 8,000/= we could be trying 5mpbs, even with 20% performance that's 1 mpbs

Isnt this the same kdn that was " the worst isp in the world" some few weeks ago. Buyer beware. What happened? What has changed?

I get dedicated service from access @ 512 down bandwidth and I get what I pay for. So far they are excellent. KDN must be utilising this seacom thingy and passing savings to consumer unlike other isp's? Prices overall should come down..

They should be more focused on wimax, perhaps introduce a DIY manual setup to avoid frustrating people with their slow technicians and have coverage in all areas in Nairobi, then will they make it big and upset Safcom.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
