Obbo should go easy on EqG and CAF. They had to scramble and host this tournament at short notice after Morocco pulled out. CAF is very corrupt. But what happened at this tournament you cannot fully blame them.

I did not watch most of this AFCON 2015. But I have watched African football for the longest. My all time African XI would look like this:

1. Bruce Grobelaar
2. Lauren Etame
3. Nourredine Naybet
4. Sammy Kuffour
5. Lucas Radebe
6. Michael Essien
7. Abedi Pele
8. Yaya Toure
9. Roger Milla
10. Lakhdar Belloumi
11. George Weah

Subs
1. Thomas Nkono
2. JJ Okocha
3. Mohamed Timoumi
4. Didier Drogba
5. Muda Lawal
6. Emmanuel Kunde

Didn't I hear that Atsu was the player of the tournament? Why is his name not on this list?

I largely agree with you except for two:-
King George....though he was one of the best in Europe, he was a flop in cup of Nations, replace him with JJ.
Replace Grobelaar with Nkono...... Though a star at Liverpool, did Grobelaar ever play in AFCON?

Don't confuse King George of AFCON and King George who was a star in Champions League in Europe .... The one who graced AFCON was a total flop, a complete shadow of the guy who was a star elsewhere. Unless of course you want to take his contribution in Europe ( where he used to terrorize defenders) into account, for me he remains a flop in AFCON.

@Mwenza

My all time XI is an all time African XI not necessarily an AFCON XI.
Weah is the greatest African striker ever. There was a time he came to play against Harambee stars and Austin marked him out of the game. One of the best performances by a Kenyan defender.

In that case am tempted to agree with the list..... However, shouldn't there be some place for Etoo on the bench?

I thought about Etoo. But if there is room for only striker on the bench. It was a tossup between Drogba and Etoo. I think Drogba has accomplished more than Etoo
