Waiting for what? Aren't you confessing that getting information is as easy as ABC? Are you forgetting that Julie Gichuru once aired a prog known as "Who owns Kenya?" Never seen any wazuan complaining of that...what about the Newspaper articles? Such infor is no big deal, its the same as the one available at the lands office.

Records and searches are designed to answer the question "Does @mlennyma own this?" not "What does @mlennyma own?". The former is needed to conduct business transactions the latter is not!

@murchr - Why are you making me quote myself???
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I am seated next to someone who has just called Dyer and Blair to enquire about her shares. She was asked what her CDS Account number was but she couldn't remember she. She supplied them with her ID number and they read her all the shares she has - quantities and all. No 'control questions' like 'when was the last time you bought/sild shares. Which ones?' were asked. What the hell???

One only needs to get hold of your ID number, which is extremely easy to get - from numerous documents all over, call Dyer and Blair and they are given the whole breakdown of your holdings!!?? That's shocking.

You mention not of any transaction broda!. This was just a search

Guys lets not confuse privacy for KYC. This complainant is agitated because KYC was not done and NOT because the portfolio information is private. KYC has value attached to it. Privacy has NOTHING to show for it.

Quote:
An investment bank owned by businessman Jimnah Mbaru and a South African bank have been ordered to pay an investor about Sh418 million arising from what the High Court termed as “a complicated wave of deceit” perpetuated by the two companies.

In a judgment delivered by Justice Eric Ogola, Dyer & Blair Investment Bank and CFC Stanbic Bank are to pay Mr John Kung’u Kiarie - a former director of the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) - over Sh300 million plus interest at 16 per cent per year from October 21, 2007 to date for under-declaring his returns on investment.

“It is the finding of this court that the 2nd defendant (Stanbic Bank) joined the 1st defendant (Dyer & Blair Investment Bank) in a complicated wave of deceit whose aim was to trade with the plaintiff’s money without accounting for interest,” Justice Ogola ruled.
