Great point otienosmall. I'm looking to fit Monroe or KYB heavy duty coil springs possibly end-month

If you want to lift the car. Change coil spring. You can do at robs magic. Slightly expensive but will lift the car well and last long.

Shocks can't raise a car, 2nd spacers are not recommended by insurance companies. The best is use of local springs. We charge 20k for that, we are located along Kipande road Ngara into@auto-eliteglobal.com 0723130148

wheel spacers? I don't think you need new shocks.

From my understanding (I could be wrong)- wheel spacers are not recommended as per the insurance fellows. If you were to roll God forbid, that will be a straight forward excuse for them to snub your claim. The argument being that you compromised stability. Think of a ‘longer’ coil e.g. replacing a 4 coil with a 5; not necessarily stronger

I have this car and this is what I did and I've been stress free. I had tried bigger tyres 205 65 R15 instead of 195 65 R15. This works when I am just alone in the car but I took a trip to shags and it was hell due to low ground clearance. It was grazing everything.

As for Monroe or normal springs, here is my thinking: they cost about 100k but last forever and are a bit stiff for a small car. Normal springs cost about 20k and do just fine.

Msaliti 205 65 R15 and 195 65 R15 have the same height. You didn't solve the problem

@Kausha Was at Rob's on Saturday. They said that they have nothing for Mazda Axela
@Mucheminjagih Which coils are those? Na hiyo bei inaweza shuka? Oriel told me to visit at end-month armed with 12K (stock inaingia end-month).
65% of 205 (13.3 cm) should be higher than 65% of 195 (12.6 cm). That's less than a centimeter in improved ground clearance.

Installed OBK coil springs at Oriel jana. Car drives much, much better and doesn't graze bump surfaces ;-)

Interesting that I had never heard of them before. Only knew of Monroe, King and Rob's.

I've been driving Mazdas since 2003. Currently have a 2005, 7-seat Premacy.

My take: stop worrying about specialist mechanics. Any good mechanic will sort you out.

Also stop worrying about parts. If you ever need a special part, go to CMC and talk to a guy called Mwema - he lives up to his name, "good man"!

I once needed an air cleaner cartridge and he got it for me at Sh1,400 which compared well with the Sh1,200 I was being charged by GUD Filters. BTW - not an "under-hand" deal; completely legit!

@Ulemsee @Dirty_imprezza,@mazdaaxela drivers

I am looking to buy a 2008 Mazda axela from a local dealer next week. Would you kindly refer me to your mechanics I need a professional to have a look at the car for me. It's my first car so I don't have an existing mechanic and I can't say I know what to look out for other than it's a beauty I gotta have!

Much appreciated!
