At least Toyota admit they have some issues with their cars. Mercs, Beamers and Peugoet have also have issues when driven on rough roads or wet conditions. The very many unnecessary sensors malfunction easily. When your merc stalls on the road, they say it was not meant for these conditions. When a Prius has a problem with rough roads, Toyota recall them. Which now is the more reliable vehicle?

Laughing out loudly You made my evening, it must have really been a total hoax. Though I believe we are at the right junction to start the Idea once again. Energy would be the biggest hurdle but with the ETHIOPIA/KENYA Energy deal in the offing. We had better move fast, if only to secure the EA Market
Do it today! Tomorrow is promise to no-one.

Hehehe. Nyayo pioneer eh. But I think its an idea that can work, with the right people. But change the name.... All things with the name nyayo seem to have end too quickly... nyayo bus, nyayo pioneer, maziwa ya nyayo

I believe we are burrying our heads in the sand on this one - how many Mitsubishi galants do you see on the road today here in Kenya? That is a recall that should teach us a lesson. The cars were recalled from developed states and the only market available after they were fixed was our part of the world. We bought the cars in droves - only for the issues to reccur. I believe the toyota problem is going to find it's way here, and knowing how loyal we all are to Toyz, when we get hit, it will be BIG!!

Nyayo Pioneer actually stalled when then Preso Moi was taking lap of honour with it at Kasarani. Yaani, it stalled on a whole ruling Preso...the cheek of it!! Which means for a kawa guy like you and me it would have stalled and kwa dashboard would have flashed the message SIENDI, NA SIENDI NA SIENDI, UTA DO?

Ha! Now it is the turn of Hondas to be recalled:

TOKYO/DETROIT (Reuters) – Honda Motor Co said it would recall another 440,000 cars around the world for faulty airbags as rival Toyota Motor Corp faced further probes over its largest-ever safety crisis....Honda's move comes on top of a recall first announced in November 2008 for 4,200 Accord and Civic sedans due to faulty airbag inflators, and expanded last June to cover an additional 510,000 vehicles globally.

Ongoing investigation had determined the defect was caused by insufficient stamping pressure during production of the inflator propellant....

Even me I want to recall all the manhours I have given my employer because I have realized there's a compensation problem he underpaid me while pretending he wont overwork me...then for my transportation needs niende Limuru kununua fuunda (real punda), at least with a donkey you get what u want (a hardworker) and have a fairly good idea when its maker will recall it(old age)...
