Any latest info about them?


Not heard about them lately.

Am told the Own-a-Room is sold out in Juja.

They have started a Phase 2 in Nakuru(KITI area).

At face value I insist they look okey and members seem happy.

The only thing that causes me to raise my eyebrows is the Significant change in the Directors and their families lifestyle within a short period. But that's just me, Maybe its a green eye.

Visiting the project soon. Was told there are a few rooms in the 5th floor that remain.



Pole @ Pesa Nane.I seem to have lost the document.However if you still need it I will go to the offices and get one.

Meanwhile I visited the project at Juja.

They have 488 units with a few remaining at the 5th floor.

Price 650,000/-Expected rent 7000.

The rooms are size 14.6ft by 11.5ft

The show room looks well done,tile finish,a 3 by 1.5 ft wardrobe,a kitchenette and the washroom. The ceiling is made of Waffles.

Looks real and may help may people.More of MicroHousing akin to Microfinance.

The investors give cash to the guys and they build houses to sell.

Sounds a too good deal.

Gakuyo is one of the top guys(Director) in Urithii.Every Director has their own independent properties company.They run something similar to Urithii.

They are able to get clients from Urithii.

This investment will remain good to me if they offer some security in form of a room . Otherwise it remains dicey.

However the idea is good since we can see where they are investing the money.

Thanks for the feedback.

what am still not understanding is how they are able to pay 2% per month while their Sacco (Ekeza) gives loans at 1%

would it make sense to take a loan from a sacco at 1% and benefit with the 1% extra interest.

@wondergirl, were you able to get the 3%pm rates given to initial investors?

The Juja project seems up and running. Passed by yesterday and following are some photos. The show room is complete but the guys have not installed bulbs Sad Sad despite wiring being complete (including sockets, switches, breakers, bulb holders, etc)

The guys in the site told me there "are a few units remaining" smile in the top floor.

VerdictEh?ounds good,could be true could be false.

Thanks@Bigchick.Gakuyo guy is the vice chairman of Urithi but he has a different name there.When I paid them a visit I saw a photo at the reception of the members.And when I was leaving I saw him come out of a room(office) in the building.I have since confirmed he is indeed a exec. commitee member.More reason to run!!!
I have also confirmed your point number 4.The 'own a room' land do not belong to the sacco but some individual.They say they are in the process of transfering to Urithi and therefore no need to do search as the fine is with the registrar.



Public details at the Lands Ministry indicate that the land was transferred and belongs to Urithi since 15 April 2014
