After extensively doing research on the local market on the exchange rate of SSP to Kenyan shilling locally was surprised at not being able to get any competitive rate at most town bureaus and majority of them will not even accept it. Looking at the banks might as well be giving away your money at pennies. The best I so far came across to change 500,000SSP is Ksh 12. The board rate was 10 bob and I had to haggle my way and plead with them to finally accept my offer, albeit still a loss.

Any wazuans have a take on it and even got a better offer for now. Ironically after getting burned, met an old pal of mine who works for a IT Solutions Firm and gave me a better deal. Perhaps some wazuans themselves are stuck with SSP locally and cannot find a decent exchange price or know someone who may need it. I believe from our research we will be offering the best rates in the City and one can do their own tarmacking before approaching us.....We prefer to deal in bulk volume, preferably anything over one thought SSP.
