Well At least u have a 4x4

Monroe is working bad with pple of smaller cars.

This is cause monroe is stiff and so can be bad on your back if you have a small car. Kayaba on the other hand is softer so easier on your back and car.

So if you do alot of offroad take Monroe. But if town life Chukua kayaba.

Happy hunting

I'd think check the springs as well - just to be sure they are fine. Someone advised me to do that,especially when putting stiffer shocks like monroe,and I ended up replacing both shocks and springs for this 'small' car - aka saloon.

So if you do alot of offroad take Monroe. But if town life Chukua kayaba.Quite true

23k a piece :) wah - that is pricey. But they probably are the genuine thing.

Check out the price of monroe's from Oriel Kenya who are the monroe distributors - no idea what they are though.

Kayaba - more or less anywhere.

Anyone with an idea of where i can buy genuine new pajero io front shocks for a car that does offload sanasana. Monroe dont have front but they have rear are they also as hard as guys seem to say here. Is there such a thing as a spring being worn out

@RealShaft

What is wrongwith Rob's Magic. For all I know they have the best off-road shocks & coilsprings around. They maybe expensive but you will not find better

@Pirate

If you have heavy duty springs(rob's magis/monroe??) its ok to get KYB shocks. If your springs are the same ones from japan(i.e. light duty) don't go anywhere near KYB shocks,they will die on you so fast you won't believe. But then again if you are a tarmac guy(no offroad) you can still try your luck with KYB but be thou warned....!

There are a few sub-brands of monroe to choose from,the best you'd go for are the yellow heavy duty ones for ur x-trail. If you don't know the difference i'd rather you buy new KYB shocks because they are the original by default manufacturers of first time shocks on most japanese vehicles

This is blackman from Eldy. You can collect all your old shocks that haven't leaked out and sell them to me

Where can I get genuine good shocks and at what price,for my toyota saloon car. I bought a pair of kayaba rear shocks only two months ago and they are already leaking!!!(or am I LSHTTARDML)

I hear nowdays some just refill with oil and have the shocks get a fresh paint. Please advice

kayaba. B15 has feather-light body and cant take the battering of stiff shocks

For my Landcruiser I usually remove the height control crap from Japan and put Kayaba Extra-G shocks (original) and King Coil Springs (from Monroe).

That way I have a comfy ride on Uhuru Highway and firmness when I'm in the park looking for rare birds.

And they last until I upgrade the car every 2 to 3 years.

@Money Whisperer - Thanks. So Kayaba is the way to go..I'll try them. Next challenge is where to get original ones and at the best price.

So... umm.... where to get KYB springs at a good price?
Some people see the glass half full. Others see it half empty.
I see a glass that's twice as big as it needs to be.
