So this private investor may have bought all those exiting and now even wants the Govt share of the cake. In which case he would cause the collapse of the share price buy and then sell the good news to us. We buy the new and there he goes...a billionaire

My source also told me the same and if the deal with the govt goes through he shall apply for a complete takeover

Sound good for a rumour ..but considering the county Govt wants it do you think anyone else will be allowed in. There will be demos all over.

This thing is starting to sound like a case study for a business class

The thickness of the cloud is immaterial for a counter driven purely by speculators with virtually no fundamentals to write home about. When the speculators say it's time to load at say, kshs 2.50 the seemingly very thick cloud would disappear without trace.

Simply put, this counter is not for the faint-hearted.

At 2.50 today may see supply start dwindling. While still at risk of dropping to 2, a similar upside to 3 is still likely presenting a 20% potential on either side.

Thanks for the link I had not read the article. This talk of privatization, Comesa safeguards, long maturing cane etc is now getting a bit stale, and should be changed to solutions.

Please appendeded here:

China’s slowing. Russia’s flailing. Is any emerging market worth putting your money in? We’ve found seven of them.

India

Malaysia

Colombia

Poland

Kenya

Africa’s other large economies, Nigeria and South Africa, face more than their share of political and economic turmoil these days, but Kenya appears headed in the other direction. Backed by a majority in both legislative chambers, President Uhuru Kenyatta appears poised to advance long-delayed plans to develop the country’s power sector and national infrastructure. His government has strengthened the state’s security bureaucracy in the wake of recent terrorist attacks—and the decision by the International Criminal Court to withdraw charges against Kenyatta brings a new measure of stability. The implementation of IMF-supported fixes to central bank and treasury management ought to keep inflation in check and the currency stable as well.
