Need help finding a 3 Bdr Apartment with 4M cash probably in Mlolongo area. I have always dreamt getting Great wall(currently being completed) but the sales team ladies there seems lyk they need more cash so they can have a little cash to part with, then they can allow you to get it at 4M. Any off-plan guides or leads will be acceptable. Any advice will be appreciated. Sunset boulevard-lots complains. 360 apartments stuck at 5M, Olonyori not herad much. If possible i need it in Jan since i believe i can have more bargaining power in Jan than any other month.

@sparkly checked the Suraya Sucasa i bet they are the two bedrooms apartments... abit squeezed and the ladies there stuck at 4.4M final cash and not completed. Sheshe gardens looked owesome but some distance from the road so i opted for Olonyori 2bdr/2 bath, nearer and abit serene

Hear that Olonyori has major electricity problems apparently due to '2 phase' electricity supply. I hear power blackouts literally occur on a daily basis. You might want to do some background check on that if you haven't committed yet.

@Bazuka thanks for the heads up, appreciated.
My one penny understanding of single phase Vs three phase is simply treat it like a highway. Single-lane vs multi-lane obvious the multi lane has more load however i am not sure of 240 apartments on single phase can be havoc. Anyway that's not the point. Initial response is (Olonyori has three phase however they use the same line with a nearby/next village. Lots of electric interruptions occur in this village affecting Olonyori & nearby apartments like Greatwall hence the cause. Also KPLC normally take long to respond..). Clearly there is an issue with electricity here, no doubt
This is just initial check & unconfirmed. If we get someone in the group from the place it would be much better. The guys tell me the generator issue is still on course but i highly doubt sounds like a marketing gimmick

I just need a good place to live in at 27yrs but my budget is not giving me somewhere very nice and might just fall for it and begin saving for my next house in retirement. Hope Olonyori dosn't turn out to be a big mistake!!

Beyond the beautifull lush green gardens, nicely done houses is the rot that is olonyori. All my taps are leaking, blocked toilets and power problems related to poor quality wiring. After 4 months of actually staying here all my taps are leaking no pwer in kitchen everyone is complaining but from outside they look good. IF I CAN REVERSE TO april i wouldnt have purchased here

Those are normally minor problems in new houses that can be fixed. Many new houses normally have a few leaking taps that mostly require some tightening or pipe sealant. Also all power points need testing to ensure all circuits are ok. You may find that some of the sockets or lights may not be working coz the fundi missed a connection or two.

Thanks for sharing @Pesanane, will follow up on that tomorrow
@jaggernaut sure i think there minor problems and major issues. If we talk of cracks/moulds thats structural and id be very afraid like i saw in some apartments i checked out. unfortunately this takes time to appear like 3 yrs down too bad.
Its good that this things have pointed out and i need be prepared to fix them in the future like the taps and stuff but this generally sucks.... The issue is my budget limits me, and its like i need to choose the best of the evils available
Il just have to revisit the place tomorrow one more time recheck/question this issues. But ultimately i expect minor issues to come up.
