Now...That is the problem of giving in too easily... Bitches...

Its a vicious circle with no end in site!

KNUT Salary demand seems unrealistic.
For a lasting and permanent solution, I suggest
- extend holidays for 2 months
- sack all teachers
-employ new teachers with new terms of employment. Old ones can reapply.
Alternatively
Transfer education to county government

Was thinking the same way....

Plus there was that proposal to change the school calender year... say move exams to May of every year starting May 2016 (no exams in December 2015), close all schools since school year begins in June 2015.... Gava has enough time to deal with teachers... apply @Tokyo medicine above... mambo kwisha....

@Tokyo... devolving some aspects of education may cause bigger problem to some counties.... like how many would like to be recruited as teachers in North Eastern? But recruit centrally and post / deploy works just fine
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

Considering the number of unemployed teachers,I think we have any teachers who are willing to work in any part of this country

I do agree. The government should borrow Tokyo's prescription. It's simple and straightforward.Teachers won't go on strike again for the next two centuries.smile

Is it just me or is this KNUT becoming a nuisance?

To start with they have made their strike threats look like a joke.6 strike notices in one year and never actualizing any makes them look silly. We no longer know when they have real grievances and when its just an empty threat.

Like Prof Kimenyi told them,we are in Xmas and new year celebrations and we do not want them spoilt.

The bottom line is" gaarment cant pay wont pay"
Their demands sound unreasonable and using njaaanuary is wrong timing. Our anger threshold is low at this time coz majority are broke.Any additional stress will not be tolerated.

UTA DO? You sound really angry. Relax.
Patience. You cannot have a baby in one month by impregnating nine women....
