This Digital TV platform is allegedly owned by Radio Africa. It has been doing tests on Digital broadcasts in Nairobi and will officially launch on 1st Jan 2015.
It has very nice channels like Aljazeera, France24, etc plus all local channels.
It will have a dedicated cartoon channel as well. They advertise that they will have over 50 channels.
All you need to be ready is to acquire a free to air set top box. CAK approve Full HD set top box from Jolini retails at Ksh3,999 at the moment

More impressive is that it currently has 2 HD channels.

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

I am made to understand their terms and conditions are not favourable to the customers. Can someone who has the Bamaba TV box confirm to us or post the terms here.

Which terms did you come across that were unfavourable? You just need to purchase their Bamba box & its "free for life" thereafter.

Given bamba tv is a new business line for radio africa its expected that it will contribute to profits of the company. Will they solely rely on revenue from selling decoders only to finance its operations . d'oh! d'oh!

Big business is able to take in losses for YEARS.Think of The Star,People Daily,QTV etc.
The trick is to ensure every home has a Bamba TV box within the next 3 years.Once that is accomplished, you have the boring free stations & some premium content e.g Sports & charge for that as an option.

Some form of profit sharing with stations that seek to be included in their bouquet should suffice. Anyone know how freeview in the UK/NZ/Australia makes money?
