London-listed firm Atlas Development & Support

ADSS has priced the offer at Sh11.60 a piece,
valuing the company at about Sh4.57 billion. It is
targeting the oil and gas exploration and

Exchange’s Alternative Investments Market

Perfect when oil is on a nosedive streak! This will be on my radar and a definite play for 2015.

my eyes also lit up coz of that. I may take a thorough beating bringing it to a good valuation or under valuation. on MSC take caution, high stakes game esp with gava in there

ADSS is a logistics play. They will work for anyone... Oil prospectors, gold prospectors, gas prospectors, etc ... If they play their cards right, they can grab some of KenGen's geothermal business i.e provide logistics.

I like how these 'foreign' firms operate. There is a timetable to the announcements rather than making us guess when the results will be announced!

There's very low investor interest in this firm. and also very little is known about. I'll dig into it if any interest sparks

And that's a good thing for an accumulator. Watch Warren Buffett on IBM. He likes falling prices as long as the (quality) firm is 'performing' ... And he accumulates at cheaper prices.

ADSS will go through a tough phase as oil prices fall and exploration is cut back but I like their expanding regional focus (KE, TZ, ET). Tullow is a major client which has received additional funding to continue exploring (a multi-year process) for crude oil.

I read that ADSS has partnered with a Geothermal driller and seeing how GDC (corruption) may falter, perhaps ADSS can replace GDC and cronies!

very true. ill check out the company on London AIMS, to truly know about it. I wonder what incentive made them crosslist here in Kenya

That's the new trend you will see as Kenya's economy 'opens up' with Exchange Controls eliminated, cross-listings allowed and the appetite of local investors for more than the usual suspects.

The new GEMS regime helps firms such as ADSS list on NSE. Kestrel did private placements for Mayfox Mining and Stockport (listed in Toronto) which are expected to list/cross-list on the NSE.

It is also good politics to have local shareholders in the country you do business in e.g. KCB has cross-listed in most EAC countries just as Equity, etc...
