I have a nissan advan which has been well for 3 years now. Last week i gave a colleague to use it for a week but midweek it started developing issue by not igniting. The guy went to the mechanic and was told fuel pump is faulty. Does anyone know where i can get a good nissan fuel pump and at what cost? Is there a specific fuel pump for each brand?

From my experience, some vehicles share fuel pumps(denso?).Is the fuel pump in the fuel tank?If under bonnet, you can remove and go with it hapo behind grogon...there are guys there selling ex-jap used parts..I got one from there for madam's mazda demio..

Chaka gave you solid advice.

The fuel pump will set you back by about 3K.

And no, there are no specific fuel pumps for each brand. Just have the faulty fuel pump removed and shop around with it as a sample.
