A success story of DEBORAH MBULA, owner, Liberty Group was featured on: How we built our multi-million business empires. http://www.nation.co.ke/lifesty...4/-/l7egxkz/-/index.html

The true story however is She appeared on Daily Nation newspaper 6 years ago accused of stealing Ksh 35 million. Today, the same newspaper lying to us how she magically made her money in business. Macharia Franjes Gaitho Murithi Mutiga. She is now called Deborah Mbula Maingi. Publishing a sanitised version of events from her and holding her up as a role model is misleading. Or is that that the norm of achieving business success.. Issues has also be raised on Hesham Da Silva's story also doesn't add up. Since a cant insert the image of the story 6 years ago..here is the link to the picture:

It seems we all love reading scandal and rags-to-riches stories.
Life doesn't afford enough examples, plus news readership is declining;
so Njoki Chege and Kinuthia Mburu have to make up some and serve them.

But the life of marketing (spin) can take a toll...

As for me I do not understand why you are surprised. This is how to make it in Kenya. Just check the history of those rich fellows and politicians that you may know. And if you do not know any pick any one public figure and 7 out of 10 ( used rule of thumb) you will find are tainted in one way or other in terms of thier wealth.

Another one wiped out an upcoming parastatal and morphed into a "billionaire"and he is now the "king of opinion" or "business mogul" for these chonolist and even to some in wazua blue section, in Kenya thieves are worshipped and called "clever", i thought some will be nabbed by now (by jubilee) but it is looking more and more like the status quo will be maintained.

Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
