Suppose two sisters who are twins, and who are equally beautiful, walk down the street. One of them is attired in the Islamic hijab i.e. the complete body is covered, except for the face and the hands up to the wrists. The other sister is wearing western clothes, a mini skirt or shorts. Just around the corner there is a hooligan or ruffian who is waiting for a catch, to tease a girl. Whom will he tease? The girl wearing the Islamic Hijab or the girl wearing the skirt or the mini? Naturally he will tease the girl wearing the skirt or the mini. Such dresses are an indirect invitation to the opposite sex for teasing and molestation. The Qur’an rightly says that hijab prevents women from being molested.

Please explain why the ladies in Hijab also get raped? What attracts the rapist? Why did NTV run a programme recently on grandmas being harassed/molested sexually recently? Is it about their mini skirts too?

@washiku, I didn't say wearing hijab means 0% rape. I said:
1. wearing mini skirt higher chance of rape in case there is opportunity for a rapist because it invites.
2. wearing hijab lower chance of rape if there is opportunity because it does not invite.

My conclusion, rapist is the one with a problem. He needs to be jailed. But sisters should dress with modesty. Similar to men, they should dress decently, sio kushaga ma-trousers!

Applause Applause Very good. Now we agree. The problem is with those hooligans. We cant blame the victims. I am for decency myself, but I am cognizant of the fact that my definition of decency may vary drastically from @Alphi's definition. If today he decides to walk along the streets wearing a dress, however "un-manly" it looks to me and however much I hate it, I can not physically assault him in the name of teaching him a lesson.

Agreed Applause Applause

Correctional systems can no longer use punishment alone as a detterent and remedy for crimes. This is because humans are increasingly inclined to sado-masochism under such conditions.

The best correction is illumination. For example, given the divided opinion, rage and confusion, the perpetrators of these crimes are vindicated.

Arrest them, jail them, flog them, but how can a spirit be changed? The offender must see the folly of his ways and genuinely seek to change. Correctional systems must help in this process.

For example now, how probable is it that the perpetrators of this crime have a criminal record and have spent some time at least on remand? If the perpetrators can be profiled and they fit the profile I have experienced in my encounters, then many participants affirm past offenses and some form of punishment.

Crimes recur due to ignorance, and ignorance can be overcome just like evil can be overcome in the individual and in social institutions.

Those 100 guys arrested today should be charged with murder. Wajitetee watakavyo. In other countries he would also be charged with accessory to murder.

He had better pray that he is right.

Actually, the chief rapist is busy cleaning his Twitter timeline just in case:

Seems the Chief Rapist filters the truth, especially when it doesn't support his caveman agenda:

Our society is very sick.We need cure.Who or what will cure us?
Let me condemn the heinous acts of these boys.It is completely unacceptable to strip off anyone in public. They need to face the full force of the law.
What we are witnessing is not about stripping off women or how to dress in public. This is war.
When we sit here and say all makangas and matatu drivers are hooligans and are guilty and all the over 100 men arrested in Kayole should be castrated because they are guilty then we lose the plot.
We are the prosecutor, the jury and the judges.
Why are they guilty? They are filthy, uneducated, uncouth and barbaric. We are educated, have degrees and live in expensive apartments. We dont live in slums where these low-lives live in.
We drink expensive whiskies in westlands and hurlingham. These bastards drink tunusu huko downtown.
What would we be if we studied to primary school level and have no money?
Are we better than those makangas, drivers, watchmen, butchers, jamaa wa makaas?Because we can wazua, facebook and twit then these dimwits are all guilty.
What is the difference to those who say all kikuyus are thieves and all luos are ihiis?Kana kimwe kiamia ciamia ciothe?(When one shits, all have shit?)
We need to get the hell of our f***ing high horses.
What is happening is a result of frustrations the young people especially boys are going through. They feel neglected and ignored. No one cares about the boy child.I have nothing againist girl empowerment and indeed an empowered woman empowers the society. We need to find ways of empowering the boy child.
Those men who dont have our level of education and money feel threatened and foresee the coming back of Wangu wa Makeri. They are looked down upon because they have nothing to offer.
Because of their level of education they are less. They have pressure in the society to be men and a man is defined by how much money he has.If he doesnt have any money,he is useless.Huyu ni mwanaume wa aina gani?
Some of our ladies who are better educated are rude and arrogant.Education is supposed to humble you.The more learned you are the more humble you should be.
These makangas, drivers, watchmen, jamaa wa makaa na mtu wa butcher that you are looking down upon are busy sleeping with your wives while you are busy ranting here.
Hutia Mundu!!

Let me add my two cents...I condemn the stripping incident. It shouldn't happen to anyone at all.Frankly I could not even withstand watching the entire clip.It suddenly occurred to me that, when a mob of 50+ men surround a helpless woman and cheer as they strip her, then something is seriously wrong with our society. No one attempted to help her...too sad .If this barbaric acts are allowed to continue, they are bound to spiral out of control. It will then become..'there's a woman....lets strip her..she just walked indecently'... Guys lets sober up..we cant allow this to continue..lets take a stand to protect our women .
Hope is not a strategy
