At the beginning of the year, Nakuru County banned subdivision of land below five acres.

Has this ban been lifted? Can someone really stopped land owners from dealing with their private property as they wish?

I have also come across this article claiming there is a court case to be heard on Dec 15

Yes the ban was lifted by the County Government after they were challenged by developers and land-sellers on their lack of legal mandate to ban land subdivision.
