I would not read too much into the Stoke City game. Am sure Ferguson & Carlos Anc. would have been pleased with an Arsenal win!

If you would have taken some time to look at Wenger's face then you would have read something broda.......remember how he made a 3-man substitution to bring in experience......he was desperate for a win which became so elusive!!!!!

McReggae...the game against Stoke, as Wenger clearly puts it, was more Physical than technical thats why the youngsters could not cope. The only reason why wenger brought in the three substitutes (at 1-1) was to avoid a replay. That is the last thing Arsenal need considering their next 4 matches and the Champions League.

@ TAZ- Your explanation beats all logic. I dreaded the rumours that SAF was considering bringing SOL to OT to relieve the defensive frailitiesSad . I am glad it did not happen this guy is just past his sell by dateDrool .

@Ondiek,
I agree....any sane manager would want to have nothing to do with Campbell....the play pattern for aged players is too obvious.Tripping over themselves and topping charts for scoring on the wrong end....Look at Rigobert,Rio et al.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Nothing rocks in club soccer today than a Silvestre and Campbell partnership in defence...........I knew the result the minute i saw the line-up. Surely by now Wenger should have known these two chaps are no more than pensioners.

For player who has not played in any competitive soccer for 5 months i would say Sol Campbell was fantastic Applause ...Silvestre was the main reason why the two goals were scored (thank God we have Vermaelen). Whats the difference between Campbell and Owen at Man U (apart from one being a fullback and the other a forward)d'oh!
