Dont look desparate! Park the car where they can't see you parking it, lose the coat and tie etc. You can also hire a 'bargainer' - A kawaida fellow from around the place who goes and asks about the price and bargains when you are within earshot. The price is agreed on, and suddenly you are the one paying and the seller is cursing himself. A hundred bob or more to the 'bargainer' for his 15 minutes of work and you are on your way!

This is Nairoberry. Even in the most risky places, there are fellows who guard your car - for pocket change. And in some business areas - like jua kalis - the trader don't entertain criminals because they know what it will mean to their businesses. If customers lose their side mirrors, corner lights etc. when they come to your area, guess what!? You will not be in business for long.
That is why places like K1 and Galileos westlands hire battalions of watchmen to guard your car along and across the road. They don't have to. But they have to if they don't want to lose customers.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
