The Prophet Kanyari saga, and the fact that all the negative publicity seems to be perversely serving as a boon to his bottom line, has highlighted a strange but consistent fact that I have observed:

When an economy/country is going through difficult times, different sectors of the 'comfort industry' tend to do very well, as people look for solace where they can find it. These include everything from the legal to the barely legal, such as: Religion, Prostitution, Security, Alcohol, Drugs, Entertainment and other 'escapist' services. This seems to be happening in Kenya today.

Seeing as Wazua is a group of investment minded people, I am surprised no one has rushed to capitalize on the 'panda mbegu' saga and other similar recent events. Clearly there is money to be made here and, I believe, some real good can be done too. The people flocking to Kanyari can not all be gullible fools. They are getting something in return.

What are the direct or indirect investment opportunities available in this industry, post Kanyari, and how can Wazuans exploit them?

Comfort ?

'Spiritual' high.

One idea is to start offering/facilitating ayahuasca getaways at a fee.

I am generally open to money makers but I think it is time businesses get guided by a clear conscience. The scam by Kanyari is a outright shameful and nobody should ever think within such lines. This is deception - a conman - should be jailed. On the sin industry, again let us be guided.

That's totally true, when people are desperate they will do anything to get out of the misery. But using such methods to extort money from poor people is not right and such kind of things always catch up with you.

You need to draw the line between what you imagine is business and outright robbery.
