There are guys here with PhDs yet are under 30 and they took 2 full years of masters before PhD!! I respect a PhD holder who lets his actions speak for himself and least respect for those who throw the degree on other people's faces.

C&P Dr Myles Munroe will be in Nairobi for his first ever trip to Kenya. He is set to give a talk at the Safari Park Hotel on October 21 dubbed The Potential Dinner. According to the flier, the gate charges go for Sh15,000
To me this is just an improved version of Dr Prophet Kanyari. You cant sell HOPE... If he was a good man (He is quite rich from the motivational talks he gives and the proceeds from the books he has written and appearance fees he is paid), he should have charged reasonably well to enable poor folks like me attend. God is good all the time. He has a way of dealing with unfairness. All you need to do is to trust and believe that he exists and he is all powerful. Ni hayo tu...
@Atalaku, I get what your point is, but I tend to think this guy is different if you look at it critically. I want to think of him as a coach. If you listen to him, he does training on "how to be the best in what you were created to be". In fact, anybody, whether a Christian or not, can listen to him and apply the principles thereof to better themselves. Motivational speakers are paid top dollar for their time. Mentorship programmes too could be very expensive. This is a bit different from Kanyari who tells you to drink salty water, or cheats you completely using chemicals that unatoka damu. In fact, studies shows that a workforce that has a serious motivational and mentorship programme performs better in the long term. That is why HR departments invests heavily in such issues. Well, I dont know whether you get my side of the coin, but although I respect your version of it, I feel these two people are different in their approach. One is an outright conman, the other works towards bringing the best out of you, and ensuring you are focusing on the important things of life. Or what do you think? my 2 cents, they are the same, selling a service just operating at different social levels, they both motivate their following using different strategies - one will hoodwink you with the food and aura at safari park while the other will use some cheap chemical to drive home his point. just depends on which side you are being outwitted from and whether the dupe sticks deep enough for you to believe and thus change your self. Let me ask you guys...would you buy his book on Leadership? Would you pay a teacher who is teaching leadership courses? If you had a company, and you wanted someone to speak to your staff to give them a "punch", would you call Kanyari or the late doctor? @ washiku It all depends on where each of us gets motivation from. What motivates you may not necessarily motivate me. Some have very different orientations and some have very different perspectives. Some are inspired by objects not necessarily human beings. Its a difficult subject which can best be described by akina @Tycho and @Muriel Yes we can. Motivation? I had asked a question some time back about those whose right it is to be nyanyaswa-d. What is motivation? Surely someone else's perspective and outlook to life cannot be necessarily be another's. Motivational speakers to me are like those who promise to multiply money. If all of us were 'motivated' - logically we cannot (what is success?) - they would not be around. Just as if all of us had all the money - logically we cannot (debt-based-economy) they would not be around.

I think all of us can impact mankind irrespective of their level of education. However, more knowledge is good. Sharing that knowledge is better. Kudos to @Obiero. its great to be proud of one's achievement. Your next challenge would be to transform the world. @ Atalaku- Education transforms the mind. If one can compare Kanyari with the Late Dr, education may be just that, education.(Rather no transformation)

Excellent answers...true we are all different personally I have never needed the push/drive/change mindset gospel of a motivational speaker to make me do XYZ in my life,I know what I have to and need to do to change different aspects in my life when need be... possunt quia posse videntur
