On Mar 20 2012 paka closed @1.35. MSC looks poised to surpass that mark! The question is will it be suspended from trading if it breaks below 1/- which will be sheer madness!

And for the mgmt that is well know to have committed fraud and has been highlighted in that exclusive audit report, these guys need to be handcuffed.

What is the impact of destroying MSC to the econ in western region as well as the political damage?
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Now that every one knows what went wrong, it is time to apply the fix.

If Neverready finally fingered out, why not a company whose market share and products are so solid MSC ( see the Govt importing sugar due to the closure of sugar factories...means demand exists).

I just wonder how hard it is for the company to buy new equipment and produce sugar more efficiently and cheaply....Western province has SOOOOOOO MUCH FERTILE land going to waste...Sugar is one of the most used products in the country...how hard is it to go check out what other countries are doing and do it better....the company is capable of generating its own electricity also....Shareholders should sack all the management team

Poor mumias shareholders (except Gava). The fraud that has occurred to this firm has literally left me speechless!
On the background i kept hearing Warren Buffets words " Investing with management you can trust" GAVA firms! especially this current one, jichungeni sana!
The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Again the Agric. CS was talking in a manner to suggest he was pleased to open up sugar imports. Could he be happier if local companies died? I think yes. Those in the know how much can be salvaged of MSC remains?

When these sugar companies collapse they go into receivership & its major creditors bring in their receiver managers so as to milk out what they're owed. just like in cases of muhoroni, miwani e.t.c sijui mahali shareholder huwa. given their debts are in billions?? sijui. As said here in wazua invest in a company that you can visit around, check mood, compare with sector, have facts on ground then make a decision. I remember earlier on in other threads I DEMONISED this farm & gave examples of how Miwani, chemilil, muhoroni sugar companies had similar problems i& died. watu hawakutilia maanani. This MSC could collapse & no one will care for economic impact. webuye panpaper did, kikomi, rivatex among others including the ones above.Cheap imports are available. Cost of production is very high in money&time. imports are cheaper and save time.
