Shame on you Shame on you Liar Liar wewe ni makanga, ngoja wakati wa Mvua!!!!Lowest for BBK is 16.50 for the long run. Remember they have restructured and had a positive 1st Qtr!smile

@Realtreaty i like your positive sentiments but bbk is being flogged by the indigenous banks like co-op,kcb and equity who adapt to local innovations faster than multi nationals do.

While there exists positive sentiments on abilities of the new ceo ,bbk have decided to stay on their own lane and hopefully grow business while equity et al are constantly evolving as evidenced by the new mobile money play. With all honesty, where is the value in this brand?Looking ahead what strategy do they have to grow their business lines?

I wouldn't be shocked if bbk is one day swallowed by one of the indigenous or African banks looking for a Kenyan foot print. Its synonymous to a mammoth, too big,too slow and not aware extinction is coming.

PS: I actually thought they would be rebranding to Absa, don't know what happened

Dont write off BBK just yet. It is a big international bank and has diehard customers for whatever reasons. Absa was actually rebranded as Barclays Africa and it is bigger than all Kenyan banks combined. I say Hold.

@Amani254 look at H1 BBK and compare it with the indigenous banks,as I said they shall soon start mulling about an exit.
Take note Barclays Bank PLC is undergoing a phase of restructuring under Antony Jenkins. It's not yet over

BBK intends to be top three in ranking of kenyan banks. So it could only be under CBK and Equity. Hope to see it rise at the FY to be at 35Kes. Nothing is impossible.

that is neither here nor there. Even Airtel is the biggest telecom in India..
Question for BBK is, how fast can they adapt to the new financial playground? Are they are as innovative as indeginous banks?

this bus will not be making any headway anytime soon.u just need to pop into any of their branches and pull out a deposit slip ...it requires you to explain stuff like your source of funds, purpose of deposit and indicate lots of personal info. that has ruffled some a/c holders with some of them taking off altogether. short of a rethink in market approach i would say those in this bus might never alight in the near future.

There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Nope! As a driver he jumped out through the window and left all the passengers on board to their own devices.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Hehhehehheeeeee......even laughing is business...be happy. I drove Mumias up, Britam, Coop, Centum and I have feeling that BBK is a stock that will surprise many 2015-16. It is at that price due to splits. Mumias is not poor, thieves are hungry!!!!
