Historical P/E for Kenya Power is 7.3......expect it to settle at Ksh 3.28 (EPS) X 7.3 (Historical P/E) = Ksh 23.90 (Range of Ksh 22 - 24) by end of 31st Dec 2013. Happy Hunting.

@mwekezaji - if it closes above 16 that means we have a nice support base between 12.50 and 15.00. I don't expect those prices to trade again in the near future... @Boris - when did you boarded this mbus So current passengers are @stocksmaster, mwekezaji, hisah, boris etc. @aguy I'm still holding your ticket though at a hiked price from today, still time to board. Otherwise we keep loading baggage in the TPS mbus for the next trip $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Good results I hope i don't rain on the parade. if the sales are increasing by 10% per year it will take around 7 years for the consumption to double to 3000MW. If we have 5000MW by 2017 so Kenya power still pay for the idle power. That's what keeps the price down. It's good to see kenya power finally appealing to consumers to use more electricity.
On the other side power purchase costs have moved from 24 billion to 30 billion so this is quite good for Kengen

You guys, why are you forgetting the time of the year we are at,this thing will come down when that news fades wait and prove me wrong in the next few weeks, I may be wrong though, if 19.50 is broken then you can celebrate a bit because there are a lot of people stuck there. Today in the morning as I logged in to cancel the sale order- Someone in DB had happily executed my sale order to gain from the new information. Sad for me. Blame yourself!!! The system is online! Why didn't you cancel yesterday or at night?? Take responsibility - your investments your responsibility! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

This is because if not for those costs, the business of reselling power might not present as much risk to returns as your fears
