She admits they borrowed some money from her to clear the house. However, i do not see under what circumstances you can have your own grand children suffer with no house even if you do not agree with the mother of the children. The least she'd have done, in my opinion, was to transfer the property to one or all of the children or a trust which would hold the house on behalf of the children - assuming she was so determined that the daughter in law will not benefit. Whether it was in her name or not, i dont see why she should want to have them kicked out. there are many ways how she could "safeguard" the property (from daughter in law) without kicking the family out.
Whereas that might be the case there seems to be more to this story than is being revealed Maybe those grand kids are hers by name but they have no contact with their cucu. For a mother in law to thro out her grandkids out something must have gone terribly wrong. Plus as a husband if u suspect your kinsmen are the vulture type u make sure ur property is in ur wifes name, y didnt this happen. There is a posibility the husband may have delibererately let the property ownership remain in his mothers name for some reason
