Okay some guys produced award winning film - Stories of our Lives - recounting 5 stories from LGBT community in Kenya. Naturally, film was acclaimed (probably even assisted) by the international community. They applied for rating from the government who responded in the negative.

NEST appears to have felt the need to continue sharing or promoting film via Social media. George Gachara has been arrested today, Kilimani Police St, now out on bail.

Is it fair or unfair, noting Kenya constitution is clear as to how we want to be exposed to these matters in Kenya? Are the artists pushing it? Should they hold a referendum first?

I always find it funny how gov't moles have time to arrest and celebrate the arrest of artists. Lakini pale Karen watu wamenyamaza. It's a very interesting concept.

So arrest him for what exactly? Or what will they cook up this time? Their children's morals are being corrupted. But its ok to allow some other person get away with stealing from another simply because they are very powerful.

Morals. Where's Tycho?

I haven't watched the movie but all these drama around it is making me curious. As for the arrest, I think it's unfair and a waste of govt time and resources. There are others more worthy of arrest walking all over with impunity.

From the interview on youtube the guys are telling the mzungu's how they will be arrested and tortured once they return back home.

They knew its illegal to distribute that film but they did it anyway so the wazungu's can take notice.

I guess the guys who are stealing land in Karen knew it was illegal to do it. But they did it anyway so that their voters can take notice?

I have a problem with gov't's arresting artists. You are the same fellows who will kill Alphdoti here when some artist draws the picture of Mohammed. Or are you the same guys who wanted to stone Ngugi wa Thiongo with his books?

I can see the headlines right now.

Government of Kenya to act tough on Homosexuals and Movie Producers. The film ministry did it to protect the morals of our children. In other news, a new harlot house has been established in Hurlingham house no. 6 by the chairman of ......

@Alma. Now see the mental torture you have brought forth. Think about the question over the long weekend and see whether you will be sane by Tuesday.
