In July I was importing a car and 2 weeks before arrival I had some firm whose name I don't remember bombarding me with texts on how I can get financing to clear import charges. I had to call them and request they stop texting me. I also let them know that I had no idea know how they got that information. In my mind, there can only be 2 sources of that information: - the bank that I used to wire payment or - the car import company themselves I really doubt that my bank could have divulged such info to anyone.
