At 81 today. Kirubi must have been a clever sharp.
He is a man who would ask you a question like-"Why do you think BAT has risen to 850?" What would you answer him?

He might just as well be waiting for the rally to ease then continue to achieve his intended shareholding. Or did he give a time frame?

Parabolic move on price gap ups is not sustainable. Please people be cautious although it is hard to be grounded with all the ongoing madness. When the reversal comes and gains momentum (and it'll be swift) many guys will get trapped.

@ Hisah, remember at 84.50 the price is just under a dollar. I asked you why do you think BAT is at ~10 Dollars (850Kes)?

smile The Centum has rosen from low of 14 to high of 84.50 .Going back to a postion it jumped like 71 will not mean a free fall but people are just taking profits(Selling) hoping it will not rise more than that as they hold in fear of a market correction of the same stock. BAT has today risen by 77Kes and after two days it can fall by same margin.Liar

So? Do you want your company stolen (Matu of Olympia, Nyammo of Kenya Finance Bank) or bought out (Access, Rea, Scangroup)? One of the stupidest posts I have come across.

Do your research. Information is publicly available otherwise you're asking people to do your homework for you.

Perhaps a better question is what do people see in this stock that they didn't see a few months ago when it was trading in high 30s. That's the thing about the stock market. When it rains, it pours.

Yes when it rains it pourssmile my fundamental analysis says with NAV at 34.5 fair value is 80% of NAV so around 27/=

Centum NAV is discounted by quite a bit. For example its KWAL holding was reported as 190m just 2 years back but is now worth 860m - link
And this is likely true for a lot of their other assets such as UAP which will list next year, their bottling business, Two Rivers & Pearl Marina (upon completion), General Motors, AON Kenya, Platinum Credit, & K-Rep.

(The Lamu coal plant I think will end up being canceled in the courts or drag on for ages there so should probably not be counted until and unless it's fully confirmed.)

Secondly NAV mostly captures resources not what can be done with those resources i.e. productivity. For example DR Congo would have a higher NAV than Japan if you considered material resources yet it has so much lower productivity.

I think Centum has very good assets which are already somewhat discounted on their books. Additionally they are very aggressive and good at spotting opportunities i.e. Rea Vipingo and Lamu Coal etc. This makes them Japan like while having DR Congo resources.

In the next 5 years if they maintain the same drive and hunger and the full value of their assets is realized they will in my opinion be the best stock in the NSE hands down.

Shame on you I think you read it after having used ur dividend on a kenyacane and got lost. Its true Kenyans believe outsiders more than they trust themselves. That is the main issue here. Ask Merali and he will tell you the same.We never want to see rich Kenyans but when an Artur comes with stolen funds we call him SIR. We as well will be found reading foreign books of what we do not comprehend leaving simple to understand and implementkenyan books on shelves. The reason our graduates are stale!

Merali is a conman. Even the genesis of Kirubi's wealth has an asterisk or two. No-one is advocating for Arturs [who were here on behalf of some powerful LOCAL crooks] or their ilk. Look at the likes of James Mwangi for inspiration or Manu Chandaria. Here is someone who is in his eighties and has a blast while doing philanthropic work. Or the enthusiasm of JM while he battles The Green Monster. And it is OK to sell out your business so it survives and grows. When an outsider buys your business, it shows there is real value they see vs the 'perceived' value the 'founder' sees.

It could be but the movement of both stocks the last one month tend to suggest otherwise.

The relationship is that both have flagship projects with a scope for serious revenues....ala two rivers/perl marina....MVNO....so stop speculating and go revise standard 6 business education curriculum in a primary school near you

@Fyatu. You are a disgrace and should have acted more mature. Grow up and manage your foul mouth.
Feel free to shove your opinions up your shitty ass the next time you feel someone is dying to hear them.
