Hallo Skerians,
was wondering if any of you has tried the low priced BB model 8310 (i think. I saw it being reviewed on CNBC's Tech@Work. In Nairobi it is going for about 8-9k. For those who have used BB on prepaid, which I prefer, how is the experience. While at it can somebody advise on whether the Nokia E Series phones going for about the same price as the BB are genuine. I am tempted by these two and I would like to buy one for Xmas. Contributions highly welcome.

Of late there are so many fake phones from china...there blacberry is actually not a blackberry device.it doesn't support the the blackberry service. On the other Hand the Nokia E-series going for between 7k-10k is equally a hoax.it oly supports gprs unlike the original E-series which is HSDPA (3G)

Nokia seems to have killed Blackberry with the introduction of Nokia Messaging Service (google it). It is on trial and I have been using it for the last one month - still free until trial ends.
I have configured my email accounts (two yahoo, two gmail) into it and I get my mail delivered immediately it is sent.
Nokia intend to charge for the service, I guestimate it will probably be US$ 10-20 a year, way cheaper than the monthly 2K our mobile companies currently charge for Blackberry.

E series is in a league of its own. the best deal would be to get E71. And it retails at 26k now. BB are turning out to be rip offs coz of the post paid BS.
Do it today! Tomorrow is promise to no-one.
