A lot of Wazuans consider this stock overpriced. Search threads on HomeAfrika for more info.

And the owners said investors don't know how to value a real estate company and they will in future realise what value was hidden.

The owners also cashed out en masse from the company.

@All@din: Your quotation "Sargasm : When the urge to make a sarcastic reply is so overwhelming you can only roll your eyes and grunt imcoherently" is very funny. However, 'imcoherently' is hurting my eyes, please change it to 'incoherently' so that I can enjoy the line unhindered. :)

Like I've said before, building houses may work for Home Afrika with regards to their flagship product Migaa. The sale of plots for people to build hasn't worked out for them.

So HassConsult bought 1% of the shares. One may say they could use the expertise of HassConsult in making decisions that get the company to make sales.

@All@din: Thanks for the correction. Any more detail from your little birdie?

Last time I checked the PE was in excess of 100. They need to grow profits 8 times the current levels just for the current price of around 4 to be justified. How long that will be is a question for another day.

www.businessdailyafrica....4/-/uyccahz/-/index.html[quote] he bond will be on sale for two weeks, closing on December
10, and will commence trading on the fixed-income segment
of the NSE on December 19.
Home Afrika received the Capital Markets Authority’s (CMA)
approval to issue the bond on November 11.
The firm plans to use proceeds from the bond to fund three of
its ongoing projects — Migaa in Kiambu, Lakeview Heights in
Kisumu and Llango in Kwale. Revenues generated
In the six months to June, the company reported a 72 per cent
drop in profit to Sh42.9 million from Sh155.49 million a year
earlier.
One of the major reasons for the drop is that real estate firms
can only recognise revenues once projects are completed and
sold and Home Afrika, therefore, has to wait until projects are
finished before it can record revenues generated.
The firm’s shareholders have to wait longer to earn dividends
from the property.
The company also plans to issue a Real Estate Investment
Trust (REIT) for which it has also appointed NIC Capital as
transaction advisers. The firm has appointed the same
advisers for the bond issue. /quote]

The firm said that 83.3 per cent of the proceeds would be
