Bamburi is amongst a few shares i have never owned in my 18 yrs of stock trading at the NSE. i know it is losing its sparkle, but i believe there is some residual value. its now at 159 and i believe very very soon it will be a play stock. technical analysts, what is the graph saying? The support is usually at 140. Buy at that price, sell at 200-210. If support is tested at 130 - 140 range and fails Year low of 140 broken today with a new print of 135.
@aguy - hold on tight for when that support zone breaks down, 100 will likely be tested! I've become a specialist in holding laggards. but what could be causing the sharp drop in share price. 135 is almost the price it was during the 2011 EU crisis! Seems Mdzombo is in town, I have not been spared the canning either. Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.

I would say "BUY VALUE". on bamburi, could the merger of holcim and la farge be responsible for the sharp decline. either way, shoot first ask questions later for me. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

either way, shoot first ask questions later for me. DITTO!! Please expound on the " BUY VALUE" comment. This company's profits have been declining steadily since 2010. Is there something else that I'm missing. Frankly speaking, I would only buy it for speculation.. looking at those peaks and troughs

The only worry I have is the large dividend payments. all of the profits In some financial periods. I find it hard to divorce this with the merger. hope it will be good or at least status quo after merger. on infrastructure contracts I remember reading of something along that line and I know they are very keen on that segment The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

I expect good results and a nice dvdnd to boost the share back to its support level. After bagging SGR tender, there should be better returns in HY. If the efficiency is maintained then FY 2015.@Aguy....@Mweke Everybody STEALS, a THIEF is one who's CAUGHT stealing something of LITTLE VALUE. !!!
