Hi,

A new investor on Wazua. What are members thoughts on Olympia Capital. Just look at the numbers today. P/E of 13 isn't exciting however a NAV of 29.5 and a dividend yield of 5% didn't ring alarm bells.

Why is the counter so quiet?

Thoughts welcome

This is a stock you should NEVER buy. Express Kenya, Home Africa, Everready, Sameer,Mumias also should be avoided especially when you're new to stocks. Look around for other stocks first before considering those. Hope that answers your question.

whiteowl I understand your rational probably based on previous management but there is some instrinsic value in this company. Those are my thoughts, it may take a while but let's wait and see and maybe discuss at a later date.

Thanks for your assistance

I smell a Pump And Dump being prepared. NAV of 29.50? Let's see the calculations.

Sorry my mistake on the NAV, it's actually 21.52. Shareholder Equity of 860m divided by the 40m shares issued.

I had used the full shareholder equity of Kshs 1.17bn which includes a portion of non controlling interest.

I guess there was still something to the stock.
