I use spss tho never been trained by anyone...and I am almost an expert at it...try first to learn on your own...on the help tab there is a tutorial which will take you through the whole thing...then you can back it up with info from the net...with constant use you'll get better each dayJOIN MY FREE MINI-COURSE FOR WRITERS. I agree with akowally up there... make effort to learn on your own. Google SPSS Tutorials. There are some very good ones. Then get a basic statitics book for some theory. Excel help files are also very handy for brushing up your statistics theory...

SPSS is a easy to learn if you know what you want it to do. But a better software to learn is STATA or SAS. This produce reproduceable results that can be shared with people unlike SPSS which is difficulty to share exactly. It doesnt have commandline saved texts of how you got your results.
Use the money to buy books and software and you can easily download datasets. You only learn statistical programmes by using them!
