Uchumi post full year profit of 384m after tax .Divided of 0.30 announced. It plan to move some Uganda outlet on poor performance of almost 12% decline.tanzania performance ok.

I remember the Uchumi rights issue when the counter was on suspension, they were going for 5/- and when it hit 20.00 the other day i imagined the gains some guys had made. now it seems to be headed that direction ahead of the rights issue that has taken almost half a year with no progress report from the management. In the investment sector no news most times is bad news

Nowadays whenver I visit Unchumi shops here in Kenya,I find I find it strange that the shelfs are empty. It is even suprinisng they are declaring a profit

I am new to investing. And by the sounds of how Uchumi is dropping I was wondering if here in kenya it is possible for one to put or short a stock. Please reply someone

I also noted uchumi chains like taj mall embakasi lacking basic comondities like hostess maize flour,and many others which small kiosks have.

Apart from lacking stuff...most of the outlets look rough,the one at capital centre stinks to high heaven at some of the sections.Bad for,business...

The CEO is paid millions every month yet they cant modernize their supermarkets. They all look like Kiosks. They should give me this supermarket to run
