It was a general comment. I am NOT buying at current levels. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

I can see why people get drawn to banking stocks, but I fear them. don't buy high, they will crash hardest incase of a crash The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/-/539552/2442076/-/c9pcn4/-/index.htmlThere are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Now with the extra 2B, will they still need to go for the shares' rights issue as earlier planned! In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen

NIC still needs the 2bn coz that is for CORE CAPITAL not Supplementary Capital. The latter has an interest obligation and has to be paid back unless renewed. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

NIC rallied from 69 to 80 too fast.then came back to the 70's and in my opinion, the gap that had been created has been sealed. Therefore from the price, it can only go up.Its rally is coming soon.
@vituvingisana...you are the guru of this counter...share.

@vituvingisana...you are the guru of this counter...share. Too soon, too high, too fast. That said it seems cheaper than its counterparts. Anyway, its shareholding is concentrated so the Rights Issue will be successful. I expect the Rights Price at 45-ish. Greedy when others are fearful. Accordingly to the article, the rights should be priced at around 49-50/share... I went into the (Ferry) industry knowing the same thing I knew with all other businesses I went into- Nothing. Then I built it from there. - Sheldon Adelson (Titans at the Table- Giants of Macau)
