If sponsored by gava, yes but you will be bonded to work for it after graduation for a period equal to your study leave. If self funded, no. By the way paid study leave isn't full salary....

Yes. Study leave is usually a certain percentage of basic salary.

Surgeons take up to 5 years. Most medical specialties take 4 years.

Some senior officers with connections can study abroad on scholarships with full salary and per diems for several years.
