were we not told that Kenya would become an industrialized nation by the year 2010 back in the days? That vision fell by the way side and we are light years away from industrialization status.....twenty years is not a long period between now and vision 2030 which am highly pessimistic that we will even be close to achieving!

....... when Dr Gikonyo Kiano became Minister for Water Development over 3 decades ago, Kenyans were told that every household would have piped water by the year 2000!

To-date this still remains a pipe DREAM to many Kenyans ......

@Soko,
Can't be a pipe dream in the real sense....In early 70s,many parts of Nyandarua North constituency,whose MP then was JM Kariuki,had piped water......This projects collapsed and today,constituents of this area can only look back at the 70s with nostalgia.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
