Equity is a fine bet for those looking at 5yrs and above. It is a pensioners dream stock. If it can send Safaricom into a hyper panic, be sure the threat is big, and real big.

I am new comer in stocks.I want to start with 100K.My senses tells me to buy shares in 3 counters
1.Britam-33%
2.Safaricom-33%
3.NIC-33%

and just so you know, those stocks are on their highs.beware of a bull trap.

@KIRTI,
Any cheaper share with CFC Stanbic he can only afford 800 shares at the prevailing market rates to have anything significant. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket.

Is there something like buying cheap on stocks.How is Kenya Orchards and Express.They are cheap stocks but for the year now,they had the best gain.

those are stocks you should NEVER buy. if I'm not wrong, they make a combined profit of less than 5M/year.

Indeed, as for Kenya Orchards, how many shares were traded to bring it to the current prices? I bet only two people have been trading this thing between themselves to pump it up.
