A we saying that the regulations are cast in brick and mortar that cma cant amend some of these rules. But whose interest is it being attended to? I think for biz to thrive, friendly environment should be created for all.

Unfair to the investors bearing in mind that they would have made decisions to exit to another counter or a cash emergency could arise during this period which is lengthy.

What if the case takes a year or two what happens?

CMA is truly failing in its job to create an efficient market. The stock should have been left to trade openly on the market so shareholders can have price discovery by the market.

CMA should a rule that if the negotiations are not concluded in 6 months, then trading resumes. A lack of a time frame of deals has cost investors in this publicly listed entity

In mature markets, trading continues so that the market can factor in the deal. Suspension for 24-48hrs is reasonable time for the market to absorb the news. Anything beyond that is plain silly. CMA failed this test long ago. Investors have been trapped here as if the firm went bankrupt Shame on you
