Define net for an employed person. take home pay.that pay that is left in the bank account after deduction of bank charges,loans,fixed sacco savings.basically that amount that one has liberty to spend as they please. I find satisfaction in owning great business,not trading them

Financial advisors will tell you that, no single expense should be over 30% of your cross income. Mine is 11%

I just answered the max percentage(of course hakuna minimum) If one is earning 100k it is ok to pay 25% as rent i.e 25k for eg a 3bdrm apartment hapo Nyayo Embakasi. If you earn 250k, then a 60k apartment hapo kileleshwa is ok. At 1m per month, paying 250k in runda ni sawa. That said, I believe there are many people who pay above 25% as rent.
