Just might work against E-baller! these are not for you... these are for people in 'affected countries' and those countries don't even include naija! Ah! Yes, slipped my mind. The Ebola crisis has been handled in a juakali way members of parliament should ask the Health ministry to carryout a risk analysis on the likelihood of an out break occurring and from this report ask all relevant sectors involved with immigration and transport to take into consideration the measure to avert an Ebola outbreak in the country. It time we as a country stopped making roadside decrees and shout out loud in the media without making meaningful contribution to the events, issues , crisis or on goings affecting the country as a whole. Lets not be peni mbili politicians as usual lets have mature and dependable debts on issues affecting us so as to have decisive concrete solutions to our problems. Weedic (Y)

A funny explanation of what Ebola is!!Quote:So while the virus is having all the fun bombing your body, your white blood cells, the defence forces of your body whose responsibility is protecting your body, are not aware of the terror activities happening. While this heinous virus is busy throwing grenades at, shooting and stabbing the other cells in your body, the white blood cells are just chilling out, watching some football, drinking copious amounts of beer, smoking sheesha, and having sex with platelets, unaware of what's happening. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

masukuma wrote: yes! wamenyeta! some hospitals were rejecting patients last week - finally it dawned on Liberians that 'this thing is real'! these people have swung from one end of the pendulum to the other! they have started giving up their sick and the stats are now going to be correct. in my head we should see a huge increase of cases reported next week and the week after that as underground infection channels become visible based on the amount of emphasis. the problem is that health workers wameogopa! they don't want anything to do with people with e-bola! juzi some 2 corpses were left on the street for quite sometime before gava cleared them. No one is touching the other (a good thing) but the stats will reflect more of reality now as cases surface and in 3-4 weeks start going down (that is my armchair projection)
this was my take a couple of weeks back and is being validated by the links and info from WHO. so far official statistics from the 4 countries is as follows. A total of 1848 suspected cases with 1013 deaths of which 1176 cases and 660 deaths have been laboratory confirmed to be Ebola in 4 countries with a combined population of 190-200 million people 10 and 11 August 2014 - 128 new cases 7 and 9 August 2014 - 69 new cases 5 and 6 August 2014 - 68 new cases 2 and 4 August 2014 - 108 new cases 31 July and 1 August 2014 - 163 new cases 24 and 27 July 2014 - 122 new cases <-- panic mode sets in 21 and 23 July 2014 - 96 new cases 18 – 20 July 2014 - 45 new cases (new cases include suspect, probable and verified) expect a spike before the lull comes why?
