Quite muted this announcement. Turnover was down only 10%, EBITDA down 30% but overall EPS took a dive down 80%. No profit warning announced, probably because they know they did some accounting entries https://www.nse.co.ke/listed-com...ca-ltd-half-year-results

@muganda, I thought the shoddy rule of profit warning at our CMA only apply to full year results. Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune - Jim Rohn.

And to imagine that Lamu attacks and travel advisories impact will be felt properly in H2, we only pray for this sector. Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

Try get a september booking in mara serena lodge or nairobi serena now, you will not get. These hotels are always full. And management has indicated the same. I continue to buy. Its like stealing candy from babies. And its not just serena, in nairobi its not easy to get a booking on the same day in the big hotels. What has really been affected is mombasa The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Why flush your money down the tourism toilet?? Read the comments after half year results. Management is bullish about H2. H1 there normally isnt much anyway The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Why flush your money down the tourism toilet?? Read the comments after half year results. Management is bullish about H2. H1 there normally isnt much anyway Its all about perception n not much about fundamentals. individuals r currently perceiving th tourism sector negatively regardless of its performance..so why buy when th share is on free fall

the best investment option any wazuan can exercise at the moment is to act in the exact opposite of what the @homeafrika lady suggests COOP 255,000 ABP 15.85; IMH 5,000 ABP 35.55; KQ 604,200 ABP 6.96; MTN 23,800 ABP 5.20

Which is wiser? To buy a poorly performing business and hope some people seated somewhere will turn it around, or buy a business that has already turned around and anticipating more growth in the next financial period? I would not be caught with a portfolio having either Home Afrika, TPSE etc. I would rather pay a premium for a good performing business. My one cent A successful man is not he who gets the best, it is he who makes the best from what he gets.

As surely as the sun rises in the East, i forecast that TPS will flirt with 26-28 butcvery briefly. Anytime the share goes below 30, buy like crazy. Note: I own TPS shares Life is short. Live passionately.

@sparkly. below 30 is a tall order. @guru. TPS wants the gov to be more serious about security. how many TPS properties are in the coastal region where the effect is greatest? have you read the commentary after H1 results? You can't get a booking now for mara serena lodge in September. TPS is diversified into Tanzania , Uganda and Rwanda. and that side of business is unaffected. profits will reduce, but company remains profitable. security concerns will not last forever. the time (for long termers) to buy is now The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself
