They have AGM to ratify the Rights issue on Monday 28.07.204. When are they likely to announce the details of the rights issues; how many shares, ratio of rights, price etc? Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune - Jim Rohn.

This may or may not be a profitable rights issue by NIC, with their price collapses every now and then, they are not a liked share, but their pricing of the rights may swing the pendulum if they dangle a good one.

Agree.....there is lethargy surrounding this share don't think this rights issue will be as successful as the last one....plus luke warm half year results will not help..

Why have they decided a bond issue then a rights issue a month later.. Me thinks it should be the other way around! Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

Is that the way is gonna go, bond issue followed by a rights issue? Best of luck to them! Me too thinks it should be the other way round. We'll watch how this spans out in the coming months.

Why not float the bond and then maybe next year consider rights issue...two of those same year seems too much and worse of in an inverse mode

The NIC EGM was supposed to be on 29 July but that has been declared a holiday... So when has it been postponed to? Date, Time, Location? Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

@VVS The EGM has been moved to Wednesday 6th August (also via Newspaper notice). Venue: KICC from 1100 Hours for the main purposes of authorising the rights issue...see you there! The notice of EGM ... #2(ii) is very shady. It gives full control to the directors (appointed by the Ndegwas) to allocated the Untaken Shares/Rights to the Ndegwas. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

NIC Bank needs to tell us what they are aiming at. It's not just raising money here alone, because they can explore one of the options to raise money, either through a bond or a rights issue, while a bond raises money without diluting the share price, a rights may raise funds but also either dilute the price or not but may make the share liquid in trading.
