@mnandii - It is getting interesting with all the talk and headlines smile

@deal - the contrarian play is now very tempting...

People were warned on this same forum and they kept on buying.Pigs get slaughtered.

Way forward, either company is bought out and dismatled into pieces or serilaki steps in to bail it out uchumi style.

Lastly as of today 1445hrs, demand 135,300 Supply 1.51 Mil

Many people are still interested saying it is a cheap share with the hope that it makes a turnaround and trade in the 4-7 bob and that they'll be laughing at those who stayed away from it such as myself.

Its time to start calculating the debts of this company and assets value to see if the worst comes the shareholder can salvage anything or whether a receiver can jump in from the unknown,i doubt any financial institution can be comfortable lending money to mumias.

The fact that KORCH, OCH, EVRDY, XPRS et al traded low for a long time. Whereas I had no idea of the viability the kind of businesses being claimed to be taking place in these firms. Noting that they all came out victorious. Considering that the only variable eventually became patience of the investor, I hereby register my appetite for MSC at any sweet price such as 2.50 of today, or even a honier price of sub 2. I may however invest in a sleeping pill in case the wake up time is past next year.
On a different note, it seems all political tones converge towards seeing MSC revived. Both county and central govt. discussions in some way prefer keeping rather than aborting this poor baby. I cannot discount good news coming soon. I guess a more robust sugar sector policy framework could be in the offing.
I could be wrong though...

The topic should read "Mumias sugar low demand" or "Mumias sugar high supply " .

All the ones you mentioned have very few outstanding shares vs Mumias. And have very few shares that trade hands. And are unlikely to go much higher except for Pump and Dump. Have fun.

The article is pure crap.Mumias listing price was Kshs 6.25 before they diluted the stock by a factor of 3.By then there were 510m shares against the current 1.53b shares.I remember it even traded at Kshs. 3.05 before the split!!!!!

Their govt. protection is finally ending or has ended. Kidero left because he knew it would not be extended. Mumias failed to play the patriotism card like Tusker and Safaricom, now they are in proper sh*t.

BBI will solve it

Mumias is still selling drinking water and some companies have made it with water only,my take is that we should not behave as if mumias is an empty debe, money will be made but my main interest now is to know their debt level before i enter, who can know?

What they had was not a stock split but a bonus of 2:1
